There's been this argument going on about genders......?
"There are 2 genders."
"You're either a boy or a girl. Done."
"Gender is determined by your body parts."
Wrong, wrong, and wrong. SEX is determined by body parts. There are only 2 sexes. However, there technically IS more than one gender.
Gender is really determined by pronouns and feelings. For instance, someone could be born a boy, but he feels as if he's stuck in the wrong body, and that he's meant to be a girl. Me? I'm gender fluid. Some days I feel like a boy, some days I feel like a girl. Sexually, I am a girl, because I have female body parts. Gender-wise, I don't necessarily identify as one solid gender, though I lean more towards female.
I see all these kids getting triggered over what someone identifies as, and it's really just stupid. There's no need to get extremely and violently upset over someone else's identity. If you want to identify as a boy when you're really a girl, you may identify as a boy if you like. The only thing keeping you from being a boy is your genitalia. You can only be one sex, unless you were born with some kind of disability that gives you no, or both sex organs. You can also only be one gender, but you can feel different ways.
You are free to go by whatever pronouns you like, as long as you really feel that way. People need to understand that not everything revolves around social norms. Some days I actually go up to my friends and say "I'm a boy today, so use male pronouns."
(I recommend you don't do that, though. I'm very comfortable around my friends and tend to joke around a lot, but you shouldn't say this to people unless that's how you really feel)
-I'll add more to this, since I don't have a lot of time to write this-
